Bethany Paquette is a Cree-Métis filmmaker and photographer based in the Yukon. Her work blends technical skill with lived experience on the land, documenting northern landscapes, wildlife, and communities. Since moving north ten years ago, she has been reconnecting with her Métis identity through land-based learning and collaboration with First Nations communities. Her filmmaking centers around remote northern landscapes, Indigenous voices, and fosters understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

My camera kit is designed to match my experience and comfort in the backcountry. It is built with the focus of being compact and light, and able to produce amazing quality.

Much of my work takes me paddling down rivers, hiking through the woods, riding on horseback or snowmobiling across landscapes.

whether its just a couple of days or a couple of weeks, my kit allows me to travel light or carry it on my back and still have room for the rest of my personal gear, all while still recording in 4K
